I wonder if I'll get in trouble from the apartment office if I hang a sign in my window next to the pool that says "A guy swam naked in the pool last night. Just wanted to let you know."

Yeah, I know, swim trunks or no, it doesn't really make a difference. I just find it funny. And no, it wasn't anyone I know. :P Though I hear the scene of the girl he was with tossing him his wet trunks that she'd just paraded around the pool with when the cop showed up was a sight to behold.

It'd at least get me a quiet evening. Haven't had one of those in months.

Everyone else wants rain to end the dry spell we've been having. I want it so all the parents of the shrill, screeching children will take their crotch-droppings indoors. Oh, and their own drunken, annoying, loud selves as well. That'd be nice.

People act like I'm mad when I tell them I don't want to have kids.

Dear Archeh,
I don't really know how to tell you this, but I dislike you.
I think I realized it when I threw up under the bus, and I saw you carve your initials into my best friend.
I'm sure you're frostbitten enough to understand that Santa doesn't exist.
I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep your collection of butterflies as a memory.
You should also know that I always wanted to break the apartment building.
Go burn,

Subject:A quick update on me and babbling about our upcoming WoW game!

I'm so terrible about making heartwrenching posts and then never replying to the wonderful, supportive comments I receive. I apologize for that. You guys are awesome. Thank you for the beautiful things you said to me about my Beulah's passing. She's in a better place now. I still miss her, and even now I almost call for her whenever I go home. I'm sure I'll see her again, though.

As for me, I don't know if it's a combination of one of my medicines messing with me hardcore or the pile of stress that was February, but over the last two weeks, I've been struggling with nausea and headaches. I'm pretty sure my headaches were due to my hair which I was trying to grow out for Ren Fest this year. I just can't do it. Imma get about four-six inches cut off and if my hair isn't long enough by October I'll just get a wig. Oh yeah, I also had a UTI. Yaaay. So that's getting cleared up, but the nausea still comes, generally when I'm at work or thinking about work or whatever's going on, so I think it might be stress with a little helping hand from the medicine, since it's done that to me before. Unfortunately, while I should probably take a week off and just relax, I can't. I'm being put into a new position at my workplace, basically the job I've been wanting for around five years now. Isn't it odd that now that I have it, I don't want it anymore...I just don't believe in this place anymore. It's taken a sharp nosedive in the last couple years. I don't know what I'll do, but I do know I need some experience in that position if I want to go freelance, so I'll try and stick it out.

All that being said, I'm sorry that I didn't send any notes or reply to any mentions of the L5R's untimely end. I understand completely where Chris is coming from, and I feel that the game should be enjoyable for all parties involved, including the GM. If the storyteller gets bored with the story, the whole thing will suffer. Better to let it go gracefully than dread your own game every week.

So, I was wondering if we could maybe come up with some ideas about our upcoming game. I know Janubanu and I are going to be working on the story idea. I figure that I can be the GM who gives voice to the NPCs, and Janubanu can fill the role of the "GM toon". I also figure, for a change of pace, that we'll do a Horde campaign, since people seemed the most interested in that. So, crack open your old player's handbook and start looking over the Horde races (orc, tauren, Forsaken, troll, blood elf(high elf basically)) and what you might want to play. Be creative! Remember to check places like www.wowwiki.com for background info or maybe some information from other books. If you find a core or prestige class you want to play, just let me know which supplement it's in, cause I've got all the books except the Alliance Player's Handbook. Which we shouldn't need, right? FOR THE HORDE!

Also, I was wondering what might be possible to help elevate our playing experience. I currently host a Ventrilo server, so it might be cool to just use the online dice roller and speak to each other over Vent like we're all at the table. I just don't know how Luc's grandfather will like that...but at least it's just your voice and not any kind of personal info, right? >___> Anyway, if we do this, you'll either have to have a microphone in your computer (if you has Macbook, you prolly has mic) or a cheapo headset from Walmart (or whatever equivalent you silly Canuckians have). I really think this'll help enrich our playing experience, not to mention we'd all get to -really- talk to each other every week. :D

So, Janubanu, my email is pretty borked, so probably the best way to get in touch with me is via AIM (most of the time I'm afk even if it says I'm not :x ). I guess we could use the PMs on Celestial Blade's site too. Just lemme know here which you'd rather do. :D

Everyone else, if you want, we can all talk about what you'd like to play as or if you have any questions about the format or whatever. I figure prolly the best timeline would be current, with Arthas looming over Azeroth and the death knights part of the Alliance and Horde. (There's rules for rolling DKs in the latest supplement called Dark Factions! :D)

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- What I create will be just for you.
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- You will receive your item before the end of the year. No guarantees on how soon.
- You will have no clue what the item is going to be.
- Whatever it is, I will make it with you in mind. Be prepared.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to repost this meme and make and send out five surprises of your own! I think this is entirely fair - and this is definitely a good kind of fun to spread around!

Earlier this week, Daniel, my boyfriend of around three years, proposed to me. And I accepted.

It still hasn't sunk in, and I go between being uber happy to freaking right out, but hey...at least I'll always have someone for Co-op play now. :3

Subject:Saw this on two folks...

...so I thought I'd give it a shot.

[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
I c/ped it didn't I?

[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?

[03] Abortion: for or against it?
Only in the instances where it would possibly kill the fetus or the mother if it was carried to term, or given as an option for victims of rape or sexual abuse. However, in the latter, I would also give adoption equal time in the counseling.

[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president?

[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?
Yes. I have no interest in funding life in prison for some of these horrible people. Gene pool, there's your shot of chlorine.

[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
It doesn't matter to me. If it can help to do so, go ahead.

[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?
Against. Causes a lot less difficulties.

[08] Do you believe in God?

[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
(Oh gawd here it comes) I don't care either way. A friend of mine once said that the only reason people want this passed is so they can get on each other's insurance. And when I started to think about it, I wondered why there's any kind of legal proceeding in -any- marriage. Isn't it just a ceremony to show your love for the other person? Why is it also legally binding? I don't understand the need. But then, you have divorces and estates and insurances...and yeah. It's not about love and the desire to show such, because if that were the case, it wouldn't matter if it was legal or not.

[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
No, I think it's wrong that we are spending more time arguing about the fact than putting something in place to either help them get proper citizenship and punishing those who are just here to mooch, or fix the system that's here that grants them unusual privileges.

[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
I would be inclined to say no. When I was 12, I would have had no idea how to care for a child.

[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
Oh, yes, please, let's get more stupid kids in stupid situations.

[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Yeah. Let's see if we can get Bush in on that. "Ohmahgaw, gaiz, leik, it didn't go so gud, let's just call it off k?" I don't think things are that cut and dry.

[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
Yes. People in extreme situations make extreme choices, and generally with a very skewed mindset. This is not always the case, but to me, any ending of a life before the determined time by God puts me in unease.

[15] Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes, but probably because my parents showed me how to spank out of love. I've also seen the "negotiation" form of discipline with children and...my God, I've never wanted to spank a child so much in my life.

[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
No. Never. "It's just a symbol"? Do you think something becomes a "symbol" just cause?

[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?
I'm voting for Nathan Explosion.

[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
OH GAWD LEIK DUN JUDGE MEEEEE. If I was afraid of judgement for my beliefs, wouldn't I have answered no to the first question?

So, note to those who are going to experience a hurricane sometime soon:

After my two-day struggle with gastroenteritis thanks to Ike, I'm going to be even MORE paranoid about possibly spoiled food. -_-

So yes, I live. And also the tree in my parents' backyard was finally cut down. It was in these little coin-shaped pieces. I wanted to keep them.

Also, Warhammer sucks. Daniel's had a ticket in to the CSRs (aka GMs) for three days. Lulz.

And for anyone who cares, I put all the answers to my retarded bilingual lyrics meme.

Because my playlist is utter and complete crap...

Step 1: Put your music player of choice on random.
Step 2: Post the first line or 2 from the first 32 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

And what did we learn from today's lesson? That Tash is a giant freaking weeaboo in hiding. >_>

Subject:Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.
Mood: beside myself a bit

Alright...so, I'm back in my apartment, which has power, but the rest of where I live does not. Apparently, the city proper is on a different power grid, run by a completely different company. Go figure. I'll never complain about Centerpoint again.

As far as damage is concerned, this place is a warzone. Bits of branches and leaves and pine needles and whole freaking trees everywhere. Thankfully, it looks like nothing really happened to my apartment, though there is one down the way that has a tree leaning against the roof. Hopefully they get to that soon.

My parent's house is unscathed, at the moment. No broken windows, only a couple trees in the greenbelt of the yard broken...but yesterday, one massive tree in the backyard started to slowly lean toward the house. If I wasn't terrified about it crashing into the house at any moment, I'd be marveling at how it looks. The ground behind it is raised up over the roots like a carpet. It's really strange.

Currently, we have it tied down with a mess of steel cabling and some heavy duty packing straps. Honestly, I'm not sure if it's still holding, but I hope it is. Cell phone service has been spotty at best and I don't have a normal phone here. T-Mobile is apparently not servicing my apartment at the moment cause I've had no bars all evening. I'm about to go shower and see if my parents are okay. They insisted on staying at the house last night.

Hopefully, the guy that's supposed to cut it down will be there when I get there. The only estimate on his arrival he could give us was "morning".

It's really strange. I commented to my mom last night, before we found a restaurant with power and before we found out my apartment had power, that if this was just a blackout, it wouldn't bother me as much. But for some reason, the only thing I was consumed with nearly to the point of freaking out was I wanted a semblance of a normal life again. I kept reasoning with myself, telling myself I was silly for having this "electronic addiction" and such. But it wasn't even that. Aside from worrying about the tree, I was totally content at the restaurant last night. I just wanted to feel like a normal human being. That part happened so fast, cause it hadn't even been 48 hours since the power went out, but it'd been 60 or so hours since the hurricane started. I was tired of feeling on edge. For someone who doesn't like feeling helpless, that's the most helpless I've felt in a long, long time. It was all I could do to focus on my DS or my book (that I could only read sparingly thanks to bad light). The rest of the time I just kind of...slept. Though it was never restful sleep. I feel more energized right now than I have all weekend.

So, in short, hurricanes suck, the power better come back on at my parent's place today, and tree dude better be cutting that monster down when I get there in a little bit.

Also, since I didn't get the chance to respond, thank you to everyone that replied to my last post. If it hadn't been for your kind words, I think I would have been a little more of a wreck during all this.

And as for tonight, I'm not sure where I'll be. If I'm here, I'll be here. If I'm at the house, I probably won't be. But if I'm not, feel free to go on without me. Kouka generally just stands in the back and grumbles a lot. ^_~

Yes, I admit, I HAVE played in beta. I have an account. I can load it up right now. But it's not MINE. I can't transfer Eli. I can't play in Northrend. I can't even post on the bloody BETA FORUMS. What good am I? I'm just taking up retarded space! That's why I haven't logged into it in two weeks! I want to be ME.

I want to actually CONTRIBUTE, Blizzard! Can I PLEASE get a key? PLEASE? I'm about to be hit by a HURRICANE, doesn't that engender some kind of sympathy?!
